New Horizons at Probus Club of Glenhaven

If you are a recent retiree and looking for new horizons on the social scene, then Probus just may be the place for you. Probus clubs in general offer so much variety for social activities. You can participate in activities almost every day if you like, or pick and choose what particularly interests you.

I’m a member of the Probus Club of Glenhaven which meets at Castle Hill Bowling Club from 10:30 till 12:30 on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. It’s such a friendly and fun club.

Like any new adventure, it can take a little time to find your feet and make new friends, but I promise you, if you participate in some of the fun activities on offer, it will happen. When I joined, I jumped right in by going to lunches and dinners, playing cards, joining the Bridge Club, going on Opal outings (recently we went to Bundeena) and going on Coach tours. I’ve also travelled to New Zealand with the Club along with Caravan and Camping (in cabins). Early on, I went on a great trip to Broken Hill with the club. We’ve recently established a Facebook page. Just search for Glenhaven Probus Club on Facebook to have a look at some recent events.

The age group at our club varies from early 60’s to active 80’s, no ageist attitudes, just fun for all. We have opened up for new memberships from the Hills or Hornsby areas. Why not come along as a visitor, and see what you think?
