New Hope Christian School has been educating children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and intellectual delay for the past eight years. August 16 was a special day for staff, families and students, with the official opening ceremony of their new campus at Quarry Road, Dural.
The modern, purpose-built facilities are laid out to create a relaxed ‘village-like’ feel. There are bright and airy classrooms, a Life Skills centre, time-out zones, playground, communal spaces and beautiful landscaping. The School looks out on thick bushland to add to its serenity. Further expansions are planned for the future.
New Hope Christian School caters for children from Years 1-12. In the words of Director, Dianne Dowson, the school reflects “a philosophy of high care and support for the students.”
The Federal Member for Berowra, Julian Leeser MP, and the Member for Hornsby, the Honourable Matt Kean MP, attended and spoke to the gathering of over 100 parents, teachers, students and friends of the school.
