Residents may have noticed that the old Pet store next to the petrol station at 86 Kenthurst Road, has been undergoing some remedial building works. A DA was lodged with the Hills Shire Council on 10th May 2022, for approval for a Cafe. The proposed cafe operation is as follows:

USE OF GROUND FLOOR AS A CAFE
• The cafe will operate between 5am to 10pm – 7 days a week.
• The cafe will have a seating capacity for a maximum of 30 persons.
• 20 seats within the building • 10 seats in the front outdoor eating area
• Internal and external seating areas are provided within the ground floor and outside the front of the building (4.4m wide across the full front of the building) • The cafe will employ at any one time a total of 6 persons which includes the kitchen, waiters and waitress staff. • The development will have 10 onsite parking spaces with one accessible space with ramp to the proposed cafe.

Given the building was looking very run down, this is a pleasant change of use.
