Earlier this month a number of members from Dural received the national emergency medal alongside members from Arcadia, Cherrybrook, Galston and Westleigh. Six members also received the long service medal, four of which were for ten years of service and two for twenty years of service.
The national emergency medal was awarded to members for their contributions during the 2019-2020 fire season. The long service medal is awarded to members of the RFS to recognise their service of 10+ years.
To receive this medal members must have maintained a level of training and fulfilled their duty as a part of the RFS consistently over a ten-year period. Congratulations to all RFS members whose efforts have been recognised.
