Our free 2022 Road Safety Calendar might save a life
Hornsby Shire Council has teamed up with six other northern Sydney councils to present the free 2022 Road Safety Calendar, which this year features delightful illustrations by renowned artist Oscar Nimmo.
“Road safety is more than just fatalities and serious injuries,” said Hornsby Shire Council General Manager, Steven Head
“It is a part of our daily life as a pedestrian, rider, motorist or user of public transport. Road safety is something that affects us all.”
“The choices we make can have a real impact on the safety of ourselves, our loved ones and our community.
“The unique look of the 2022 Road Safety Calendar will appeal to all age groups and has messages that are relevant to all kinds of road users.
“These messages can act as a conversation starter for you and your family, friends and colleagues,” said Mr Head.
The 2022 calendar provides tips on visibility for vulnerable road users, getting to school using active travel, safe parking tips, avoiding distraction as a pedestrian and more.
The 2022 Road Safety Calendar is being distributed via Council’s customer service points including our Libraries, and by other local community facilities such as leisure centres.
