How Can We Live With More Love and Build Our Community Spirit?

I believe part of the answer is by being gracious with every person we meet. For example, do you know the name of the person who makes your coffee at the local cafe? Have you ever said hello to the lady who sits in the corner every morning?

In January, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and introduce myself to a familiar face at the cafe. It turned out her name is Rika Whitlock, and she’s often there with her sister, Alna.

We started chatting, and I shared that my family runs a grass fed cattle farm, supplying beef to the local community. Both Rika and Alna, raised on a farm, were keen to support local produce. They asked to be added to my next beef delivery list, and we made a lovely connection.

To celebrate the launch of Taylor Grass Fed Tallow Face Cream, I hosted a local beef party, inviting women from the community, including Rika and Alna. It was a beautiful afternoon, where we gathered, shared experiences, and sampled Glow Soups—immune-boosting, farm-fresh soups developed by my friend Charlotte Swindell. We also discussed the benefits of non-toxic skincare.

At Taylor Fine Foods, we’re building a community focused on localism and love. Our next event, for Mothers and Daughters, will be on March 22nd. We’ve invited Leoni Gardner from Misty Mountain Health Retreat to speak on the 8 laws of health.

For tickets or products, you can find me most mornings at Poppy Lane Cafe or reach out by email or text.
