Thank you to the organising committee and local businesses for an incredible evening at Rydges Norwest to raise funds for the Kenthurst Transitional Housing project , supported by Kenthurst Rotary Club, and the Hills Comunity Aid’s DV support project. It was a very successful event in terms of funds raised but also in promoting awareness of the problems we face not only in our community but on the larger stage. The NSW Police Commissioner, Karen Webb APM spoke on her priorities as Commisioner and pointed out that “it takes a village to solve DV” and “we need to work in partnership”.
The children’s play equipment in John Benyon Rotary Park was completed with the installation of a shadecover. Thank you to S & M Cranes for their generous donation of the crane to instal the cover.
We will be recognising and ackowledging businesses and individuals in our community who go over and above with their time and generosity when we hold our annual Awards Night on June 30th.
