Kenthurst Probus members have been keeping busy with a variety of retirement activities throughout September and October, embracing everything from local history to art and cinema.
Highlights included a visit to Balcombe Heights Museum for a morning tea talk by Pam Trimmer of the Hills District Historical Society, a scenic bus tour to the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Gardens to view its sculpture collection, and a trip to Castle Towers Movie Theatre to enjoy the final feature of Downton Abbey.
October’s club meeting featured a fascinating presentation by Jeff Muller from Dural, who shared his lifetime experiences flying military aircraft—from propeller-driven planes of World War One to modern jets—leaving members captivated by his stories. The Club also welcomed several guests to the session.
Kenthurst Probus meets on the third Monday of each month (except December) at 9.30 AM in the Kenthurst Uniting Church building on Jones Road. New visitors and prospective members are always welcome.
