Kenthurst Probus members met this month on Monday September the 18th, when three new members were inducted and all those present were treated to an address by film maker Scott Patterson.
Scott spoke on the exploits of Australian servicemen and women still in Europe in the aftermath of the First World War.
While awaiting repatriation, some engaged in organized sporting activities, cricket, rugby and rowing. In the sport of rowing, the Australians eight won the Kings Cup at the British Henley Regatta against teams from other nations: Scott told their story eloquently and with audio visual aids.
After the meeting, some Probians travelled to the City to enjoy a concert at the Town Hall, featuring Mark Tedeschi and Bernard Walz on two grand pianos with the Concert Orchestra.
On Tuesday 19th September a group of Kenthurst Probus members are travelling to Canberra for a four day bus excursion.
Guests are always welcome at Kenthurst Probus: we meet on the third Monday of every month (except December) at 9.30 AM in the Kenthurst Uniting Church.
Persons interested can contact Membership Director Burt Stuut on 9652 1239 in advance, or just turn up on the day.
