After The Rain The Fun Begins: Kenthurst Preschool Fete is Back!

It’s clear skies ahead for Kenthurst Preschool Fete, which will be returning on Saturday 15 November from 10am to 3pm at John Benyon Rotary Park, Kenthurst.

The event promises a full day of entertainment and activities for kids, with festivities including:

• An incredible magic show by Jack Sharp at 11am, set to dazzle young audiences with jaw-dropping tricks, silly surprises, and unforgettable moments of magical mayhem

• The famous GIANT slide, pony rides, fun kids’ games and carnival rides

• A children’s entertainment stage with performances throughout the day

• Face painting, hands-on craft activities and much more!

The incredible food offerings will be returning: a variety of food trucks, the classic sausage sizzle, along with more delicious treats will keep everyone fuelled for a day of fun.

With Christmas just around the corner why not take the opportunity to pick up some unique gifts for family and friends at the silent auction, raffles or from the beautifully wrapped gift baskets containing something to suit everyone’s tastes.

Top your day off with some old fashioned fairy floss (freshly spun on a stick), movie-quality popcorn, or take home some goodies from the cake stall— but get in quick because the homemade baked goods always sell out fast!

Kenthurst Preschool Director Leanne Murray said the Fete is a celebration of community spirit.

“We’ve faced a few hiccups over the years, bad weather included- but nothing we couldn’t handle. Our team always rallies,” said Leanne.

“Kenthurst Preschool is a Community Preschool. We are managed by a parent and community committee and this fosters an incredibly strong sense of ownership and involvement among parents,” Leanne said.

“Kenthurst Preschool Fete is our major fundraising event for the year. This year we are raising funds to provide soundproofing for our classrooms. This will improve speech and language development, reduce stress and enhance focus and concentration and is of particular benefit to our students with hearing impairment. It also benefits teachers by reducing vocal strain and helps create a calmer, healthier environment for everyone,” said Leanne.

All proceeds from the event go directly to Kenthurst Preschool, a not-for-profit, community based preschool that has been serving the local area since 1967.

Community based preschools provide significantly lower fees and higher staffing levels. As they are not-for-profit, any surplus is reinvested into the service for the benefit of children and families.

“We would like to thank our Major Partner Rance Property, our Platinum Partner Flex Contract Logistics and all our sponsors for their generous support.”

“The rain may have delayed us, but it definitely didn’t defeat us. Now we’ve had even more time to plan, and we’re bringing out the fun in full force!,” said Leanne Murray.

Come rain or shine (but hopefully shine!), Kenthurst Preschool Fete is a great reminder that a little delay can’t stop a great time — or a great cause.
