Join a local club
The Wanderers, as we are affectionately known, is a Bushwalking Club that was founded by an enthusiastic group of outdoor lovers in the Hills area and is approaching its 50th anniversary. With over 100 members, the Wanderers possess a special camaraderie and we are always on the lookout to welcome new members
If you:
• find it difficult to find places to walk and explore
• want to explore more but have a fear of getting lost
• simply enjoy the friendship of walking as a group and learning more about local history and our surrounds
Why not consider joining us.
The Wanderers have an organised quarterly activities program run by knowledgeable leaders, The activities include bush, coastal and local historical walks suited to a person’s fitness ability (grades of length and difficulty). Activities extend to cycle rides and longer away trips.
Importantly the Club is affiliated with Bushwalking NSW Inc which benefits from the aspects of walk safety and the comfort of insurance protection while taking part in club activities. Walking is a physical activity and whilst there needs to be an acknowledgement of potential risks, accidents can occur resulting in injury to a member, fellow members or caused to members of the public.
