The Inala Fair is returning this October, offering a day of entertainment, food, and family fun. A cherished local event for over four decades, the Fair celebrates the Inala community and provides insight into the work of Inala, a charity established in 1958 that supports individuals with disabilities through accommodation, day services, and community programs.
A key highlight of the Fair is the display and sale of unique arts and crafts created by participants in Inala’s creative day programs, offering them an outlet for expression and a chance to showcase their talents.
CEO Alexandra Davis emphasizes that the Fair allows Inala to share the extraordinary talents of the people they support and provides vital fundraising, bridging the gap in NDIS funding to ensure comprehensive services.
This year’s Fair will feature market stalls selling various goods, pony rides, children’s activities, and second-hand treasures. Food stalls, including a homemade cake stall, will also be available. Inala Patron Richard Wilkins will make an appearance on the main stage.
Hornsby Council has supported the Fair through its Community Event Grant Program for the past two years, helping to reduce operational costs. Hornsby Mayor Warren Waddell highlighted the Fair as a wonderful event that brings the community together for a worthy cause.
Visitors are encouraged to use public transport due to limited parking, with Inala conveniently located opposite Cherrybrook Metro Station. The Fair takes place on Sunday, 26 October, from 9 am to 3 pm at 99 Franklin Road, Cherrybrook. For more information, visit www.inala.org.au or Inala’s social media channels.
