Hornsby Council Lakes of Cherrybrook Reserve Upgrade

Hornsby Council Hornsby Council Hornsby Council is in the process of upgrading the Lakes of Cherrybrook Reserve.

The work is the follow up to the plans that the Cherrybrook Residents Association in conjunction with the Rotary Club of West Pennant Hills and Cherrybrook proposed for the My Community Project Grant application in 2019. The application was not successful at that time.

However, The Lakes of Cherrybrook Track upgrades began on 17 May 2021 The project is being funded from S7.11 contributions and the Community Building Partnership grant program scheduled by Council.

The popular bush walking track network at The Lakes of Cherrybrook reserve track works commenced on 17 May 2021 and will take about three to four weeks to complete.

The main objectives of the track upgrade is to improve accessibility for mobility-impaired people and for young families so they can enjoy wheelchair, walker, pram and stroller access. The works will include track widening, a replacement bridge and the three remaining bridges being cleaned and painted.
