Our guest speaker for the June meeting was Noel Phelan from the National Maritime Museum, who gave a fascinating presentation on The Halvorsen Story.
This remarkable boat-building family traces its roots back to Sweden before becoming a household name in Australia. Noel provided an insightful and engaging overview of their legacy, offering members a deeper appreciation of this iconic name in maritime history.
Our Musical Theatre group enjoyed a fantastic outing to see the ever-popular MJ The Musical at the Lyric Theatre this month. The day began with a comfortable group trip from The Galston Club via a small bus, allowing plenty of time for members to enjoy lunch together before the show. The performance was a hit and made for a thoroughly enjoyable day out.
This month’s lunch outing took us to The Fiddler, a well-loved venue among our members. The menu offered a great selection of main meals, and members appreciated the opportunity to take advantage of the senior discount.
A lovely afternoon of good food and company was had by all. Round Corner Dural Probus Club offer a range of activities each month.
