I mentioned in my July column the funding that has been secured in the recent NSW budget, for the long awaited and much needed widening of New Line Road to dual carriageway between Purchase Road and Hastings Road. Since then, my Electorate Office has, understandably, had enquiries asking for more details. As soon as I have additional information about the logistics, timing (including construction start and finish estimates) I will distribute it out to the community.
Of course, I am aware there is more work required on New Line Road. However, the section approved is the most difficult and most expensive section. The easier stages of New Line Road will be picked off we progress. Matt Kean
