Crosslands Reserve to Rockyfall Rapids, Hornsby Heights – Estuary Bushwalk

55 55 people viewed this event.

This three-hour (5 km), easy to moderately challenging return walk showcases the stunning beauty and diversity found along Berowra Creek.

Leaving Crosslands Reserve, we follow the estuary upstream to its tidal limit at Rockyfall Rapids. When the water is clear, we often spot fish such as bream and mullet (watch for those surface splashes!). Passing through majestic stands of ancient trees and secret pockets of rainforest, it’s not uncommon to encounter lyrebirds along this part of the Great North Walk track.
