The Dural Scouts had a great night at Hayes Oval looking at the starry sky. Their goal was to learn about the Southern Cross and use it to find the direction South.
A big thanks to Tony who brought his telescope along.
The enjoyment continued as they shared lollies and chocolates at the end of the night.
It was a fun night for those who attended and hopefully it will cultivate an interest in the sky and outdoors for our Cubs.
Dural Scout Group also took part in the Kenthurst Family Fair, organised by the Rotary Club of Kenthurst in conjunction with the Orange Blossom Festival. There was a parade on Kenthurst Road with a pipe band and community groups including Dural Scouts, Galston Guides and Kenthurst Public School.
Dural Scout Group has vacancies for Girls and Boys from 5 to 25 years. Joeys (5yo), Cubs (8yo), Scouts (12yo) and Venturers (16yo).
