Thurlow Fisher House in Quarry Road Dural entertained Sydney’s Glitterati on February 24th, in honour of Jenny Fisher’s 60th birthday.
The Dural house continues an architectural legacy started by Jenny Fisher’s father David Thurlow, founder of Thurlow Fisher Lawyers. In the 1950s trailblazer David built the iconic Thurlow House in Blakehurst on the George’s River, with stellar architect Harry Seidler. The Blakehurst house stands unchanged as an example of elite post-modern Australian architecture.
Thurlow Fisher House Dural exemplifies the family’s continued appreciation of architectural excellence. Jenny’s untold hours of planning succeeded in pulling off the ultimate celebration for her special birthday, with jaw-dropping dress and makeup. We can hardly believe the number; surely she must be just nudging 40?
Many Hills locals were lucky enough to attend Jenny’s gala evening. Guests were driven down to the house by chauffeured golf buggies, arriving to cocktails and roving canapés.
A bridge was built over the pool to create a huge dance floor. Guest DJ Nick Skitz played the hits while guests danced the night away.
Congratulations Matthew and Jenny on a fabulous party and we wish you both the best of health and happiness together. We’re sure it’s going to be a wonderful adventure for you both.
