Dural and District Garden Club Welcomes 2026 with Renewed Energy

The Dural and District Garden Club has marked the arrival of 2026 with renewed momentum, following a busy and socially engaging year for its members.

Throughout 2025, the club hosted a diverse program of guest speakers, covering topics ranging from garden travel and plant nurseries to tools and practical techniques. These sessions were complemented by informal garden visits hosted by members, where attendees explored a variety of local landscapes and shared ideas over morning tea.

The club also broadened its meeting venues, holding several gatherings at the Galston SDA Church, where light meals added a social dimension to the events. Seasonal celebrations featured prominently, with a Christmas gathering and a year-end visit to a private garden display showcasing a miniature alpine village complete with moving trains.

In 2026, the garden club held monthly events featuring guest speakers and garden visits, accompanied by morning tea. Meetings were held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM at the Middle Dural Fire Station, fostering community among gardening enthusiasts.
