Working towards the Special Interest badgework in Community Service, 1st Dural Cubs and Joeys received a very informative overview on the role of the RFS, Emergencies, the Fire Truck, Fire Hydrant, fire combating equipment and much more. They had immense fun climbing into the Fire Truck, using the water hoses and each were rewarded with a bag of takeaway learning resources.
It was especially rewarding to help our kids understand what they do and why they do it. There may be a few future fireys in the Group.
Thanks to Morrie Maait and Mariel (Wren) of 1st Dural for organising the night and making it a very special evening indeed!
