Bowling News:
The Men’s Major Single Final took place on Saturday 9th November and the winner was Phil Laing who defeated Mike Keane 25-15. Last year Phil defeated Mike by the same score.
The game was much closer than the score indicated with the lead changing many times throughout the game. Mike was leading 14-12 at one stage, then Phil found the right line and length and managed to score 13 shots whilst Mike could only manage 1 shot.
The Ladies Major Singles was played Tuesday 12th November with a very close, competitive game between Lyn Luxford and Terri Hezlett.
Terri defeating Lyn with the score of 25-23. As the score indicated the lead changed many times during the game keeping the other bowlers playing on the day on edge.
Our congratulations to Phil and Terri and commiserations to Mike and Lyn.
The next event for will be the presentation day and Christmas lunch on December 14th.
