The Dural Bowling Club has wrapped up its Ladies and Men’s Minor Singles finals, held on July 22 and July 26, marking a successful mid-season milestone for the organisation.
Ann Wilson claimed the Ladies Minor Singles Championship, delivering a confident performance to secure the title ahead of runner-up Kate Liu. In the Men’s Minor Singles, Greg Smith emerged victorious after a tightly contested match against finalist Mike Keane. Both winners were applauded for their strong form, while the runners-up were commended for their competitive efforts throughout the tournament.
The club’s competitive calendar continues to build momentum, with registrations now open for the Open Gender Pairs commencing on August 16, 2025. Early interest suggests a strong turnout as members look ahead to the next major event.
Beyond the greens, the club hosted a gathering on August 9 to welcome incoming and returning committee members. This meeting holds particular significance as preparations begin for the club’s 60th anniversary in August 2026—an occasion expected to honour six decades of community, commitment, and continuity.
Club representatives say the milestone will celebrate the resilience and dedication of generations of members who have steered the club through challenges and ensured its enduring place in the local sporting community.
