Mr Dennis Perry has been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for his service to the community of Papua New Guinea through Operation Life.
A long-time resident of Cherrybrook, Dennis co-founded Operation Life and has been its President since 1998.
Operation Life provides food, clothing, education and other forms of support to some of the most vulnerable people in Papua New Guinea. Around 300 students now have access to education thanks to Operation Life.
As a dedicated Seventh-Day Adventist, Dennis has said that he is committed to showing unconditional love, care and concern to change lives.
The State Member for Hornsby, James Wallace, warmly congratulated Dennis on his well-deserved recognition. “Dennis has demonstrated tireless commitment to helping vulnerable people. Through his work, he has changed countless lives. Congratulations Dennis.”
