Our Spring Fashion Parade was held at The Galston Club in October. Thanks to Donna Lou Fashions, and the many members and friends who came along. Special thanks to the staff at the club, the local businesses who donated Raffle Prizes, and our Supermodels – Ann, Patricia and Robin.
Later in October we participated in a wonderful Market Day at Rowland Village where we sold handmade items.
Our Branch Cookery Judging was held. Those who were awarded 1st or 2nd places will be judged in 2023 at Nepean Group, and those winners will enter the State judging in May 2023 at Bathurst.
At our November meeting we were pleased to receive some donated fabrics, and our members who are keen on sewing are planning to make some into aprons.
We meet at the Galston Community and Health Centre, cnr The Glade and 17 Arcadia Rd, Galston. Visitors are very welcome to attend. We usually meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at 10am for a cuppa, followed by our business meeting, or craft or special activities.
Our December meeting will be a special Christmas lunch to be held at the Vintage Pantry on Wednesday 14th December. We then have a holiday break until Wednesday 8th February.
The Country Women’s Association is the largest women’s organization in Australia. Funds raised support the welfare of women, children and communities.
We are always happy to receive yarn and fabrics for charity sewing and knitting.
