CPSARA CONNECT DAY is held so that people with a disability can come and try some new sports, make new friends and connect with the para-sporting world.
Our multi-sport days are run regularly and introduce our community to new sports and adaptive programs including connecting participants with their favourite sport or community group and supporting them with signing up to their local club so they can keep playing!
We believe sport is important for social as well as personal development but of course can be lots of fun and can lead to greater opportunities, like representing Australia at the Paralympic Games.
Our CPSARA Connect day events so far have had a wonderful turnout and have introduced participants to up to five sports on the day including a mix of netball, athletics, obstacle courses, football, tennis, wheelchair basketball, seated/standing volleyball, standing/wheelchair AFL, football, tennis, and even frame running!
Our next CPSARA Connect day is on Sunday 18th July 2021 at 12.30-4.30pm at The Centre, Dural. It is for people of all ages, all abilities, all disabilities, all sporting and recreational level of experience. You will get to try up to five different sports with adaptations in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment and will also get to meet representatives/athletes from Paralympic and recreational levels on the day.
Make new friends whilst being introduced to new sports at our next CPSARA Connect event. If you are or know of anyone that may be interested in participating or volunteering, please go to www.cpsara.org.au for more details and to register
