Max, a beloved black-and-white cat, went missing in Cherrybrook, sparking a determined search led by his owner, Katy. After two anxious weeks and with the help of the local community, Max was joyfully reunited with his family.
Katy didn’t give up hope. She personally put up 200 missing posters across the neighbourhood and canvassed the streets, reaching out to schools, daycares, and local students.
The community responded with enthusiasm and care, sharing numerous tips that even led to the reunion of another missing cat — a 17-year-old feline who had been lost for over a year.
When Max was finally spotted, the challenge of safely capturing him began. “FosterJen”, a dedicated animal rescue volunteer, stepped in and successfully brought Max back to Katy within 24 hours of his sighting.
Grateful for the outpouring of support, Katy returned to the streets to post “Found” posters, thanking the Cherrybrook community for their kindness and teamwork.
