Community Garden at The Centre

In a positive new development for the Hills, The Centre at Dural is building a community garden in the land between The Centre and Kenthurst Road.

The community garden has been made possible through a $10,000 Commonwealth Stronger Communities grant.

As a response to social isolation and cost of living pressures, the garden welcomes all comers to build authentic connections through gardening and shared activity. Fresh produce from the garden will be distributed through the Care and Concern weekly feeding program.

Mr Craig Glasby, General Manager of The Centre, said “The community garden at The Centre Dural would not have happen without Julian Leeser’s help. The grant was invaluable to getting the garden up and going.”

Mr Julian Leeser MP said, “I am so pleased that the everyone in the community who gathers around The Centre will have the opportunity to benefit from the community garden.”

“Congratulations to the Centre for this important initiative.” The Centre CommunityGarden will open to the community in the coming months.
