Recently members of the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook celebrated the club’s silver anniversary. The meeting included a fabulous birthday cake and a wonderful retrospective of the past 25 years.
This was followed by a luncheon and entertainment at Cherrybrook for more than 160 members, many wearing a splash of silver to commemorate the occasion. There was plenty of dancing and a lot of laughter as members reflected on the fun, fellowship and friendships experienced as part of the club. Having celebrated the past, we are now looking towards the future with the induction of 5 new members in September.
We also shared dinner delights at Enzo’s Cucina in Dural, a great social drive to Terry Hills, Happy Hour with delicious food, beverages and good conversation, theatre outings both locally and to the city, an energetic morning of Ten Pin Bowling followed by a cheery lunch and a stimulating Parramatta Park walk. These events complemented regular craft, book club, cards, games, golf, lawn bowls and Money Matters groups.
If you are active retirees or even semi-retired and have promised yourselves to get out, meet new people and have new experiences the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook could be for you.
