Clean Up Cattai Creek

Join OzFish Hawkesbury-Nepean Chapter, Galston-Glenorie Fishing Club And Local Environmental Project Partners To Clean Up Cattai Creek As Part Of The Hawkesbury Valley Flood Recovery On Sunday 30th May.

The day, which is a partnership between OzFish, Council and Clean Up Australia will see four sites across the Hawkesbury Catchment cleaned up by volunteer groups following the devastation of the recent March floods.

Cattai Creek is a much-loved fishing spot – so the day is a chance to give back to the waterway which has given us so much!  You can help clean up the creek for better fishing and healthier waterways. Where it be bream, whiting, flathead or estuary perch – they all need our help!

Volunteers are asked to meet at the start of the Reserve, which is 3Z Newman Road, Glenorie, for a 9:30am kick-off!

If you are planning to take to the water as part of the clean-up to access some harder to reach areas, you will need to bring a personal watercraft (kayak/canoe) and relevant operational and safety gear including PFD, wet-weather clothing, and sun protection.

Otherwise, please come along and clean-up the banks form the land, or help at the sorting and database station at the reserve. Gloves will be supplied, but feel free to bring along your own set to further reduce waste!

A light morning tea will be supplied, but it is encouraged you pack lots of water and some snacks to get you through the day!

Registrations are essential, so please Register Now HERE

Looking forward to seeing you there, and please get in touch if you have any questions.
