By Mark Hodges Member of Castle Hill
Each year, I invite students from across the Castle Hill Electorate to design my official Christmas card—and I’m delighted to announce that entries for the 2025 competition are now open!
The competition is open to all students in Years 3 to 6 who live in or attend a local school. This year’s theme is ‘What Christmas Means to Me’. It’s a chance for young people to reflect on what makes Christmas special to them and bring it to life through their artwork.
This is a wonderful opportunity for young artists to show their talent and imagination. The winning artwork will appear on my 2025 Christmas card, which is sent to a wide range of community leaders—from the Premier and Governor of NSW to local councils, schools, and community groups. The winner will also receive a $100 gift voucher, and three runners-up will each receive $50. All four will be recognised with a special Community Recognition Statement that I will deliver in Parliament.
Entries close on Friday 24th October, with winners to be announced by Friday 8th November.
To enter—or to read the full competition guidelines—please scan the QR code. For any questions, contact my office at [email protected] or call (02) 9686 3110.
This is always a highlight of the year for me, and I can’t wait to see what Christmas means to our young artists in 2025.
