The past month has been a busy time for members of the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook. At our monthly meeting our guest speaker was Stephen Cassettari, a highly accomplished exponent of Chinese Brush Painting.
Stephen demonstrated while delivering an interesting and amusing talk and gifted the paintings he had created during the time to lucky club members.
Other events included a nostalgic trip on the Zig Zag Railway on Valentine’s Day – romance (of the rails) is not dead! Members also enjoyed a morning of Ten Pin Bowling which provided a roller coaster of emotions from elation with strikes to disappointment as the ball rolled down the gutter. The only guarantee was fun.
Upcoming events include our Changeover Lunch, the Premier’s Gala Concert, a social drive to Patonga, a theatre production at the Castle Hill Players, evening dining at Baulkham Hills, a tour of the Ray Nesci Bonsai Nursery and a public transport day for a walk from Manly to Shelley Beach.
All interest groups are also up and running.
If you are active retirees or even semi-retired and have promised yourselves to get out, meet new people and have new experiences the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook could be for you.
Our meetings are held at the Cherrybrook Community and Cultural Centre on the first Thursday of each month.
