Recently members of the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook have spent time exploring our wonderful city. One visit was a guided tour of the refurbished Sydney Opera House in the week following its 50th birthday.
Getting up close with this unique building really heightened our appreciation of the genius behind its fabulous design.
A few weeks later we stayed north of the harbour ,admiring the jacarandas, roaming Wendy Whiteley’s Secret Garden and lunching at the Kirribilli Club.
A Melbourne Cup Luncheon provided much excitement and a chance for attendees to wear their finery. Naturally there were some lucky winners and envious others.
We partook in several delightful Happy Hours, enjoying a most convivial dinner at Rouse Hill, and a relaxed lunch at Wyong.
Members are looking forward to our big Christmas Party, and also other Christmas celebrations within the book club, craft, garden and sporting groups.
A variety of events and our general meetings continue throughout January, as you can’t keep a busy group quiet.
If you are an able bodied, semi-retired or retired couple and have promised yourselves to get out, meet new people and have new experiences come and visit.
We meet at the Cherrybrook Community and Cultural Centre on the first Thursday of each month. For information contact Ross on 0411104863. We look forward to warmly welcoming you to our Probus Club to share the good times.
