The past month has provided a wide range of activities for members of the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook. We have enjoyed movies at Castle Hill and the stage show, Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. Fabulous weather ensured our walk from Milson’s Point to the city, followed by lunch, was well attended and most enjoyable. The weather was not as kind for our history boat trip on Brisbane Waters but this did not hamper numbers or enthusiasm and an outstanding lunch at The Bayview, Woy Woy rounded off a great day.
The March meeting saw the election of a new committee for the coming year as well as a talk by Jo-Anne Berthelson whose topic, ‘From the Ridiculous to the Sublime: True Travel Tales’ had us reflecting upon our own travels. Aside from our regular sport and interest groups a small selection of upcoming events includes shows in the city and Castle Hill, a day at the Wyong races and dinner at the Okami Japanese Restaurant.
If you are an able bodied, semi-retired or retired couple and have promised yourselves to get out, meet new people and have new experiences the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook could be for you.
Our meetings are held at the Cherrybrook Community and Cultural Centre on the first Thursday of each month.
