Cherrybrook Probus Ponderings

Recently 91 members of the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook celebrated their Changeover Lunch at Allegro, Kenthurst.

‘Captain’ Terry Carter handed over the presidency to Susan Wilson who was escorted to the podium by Sir Andrew in a ceremony to rival the upcoming coronation. Susan introduced her committee and a message ‘Life is a Journey – Enjoy the Ride’ which encapsulates the fun of belonging to Probus.

In the past month we enjoyed a great walk around Bicentennial Park followed by lunch at West Pymble Bowling Club, a fabulous meal at Okami Japanese Restaurant, a social drive through Windsor with even more lunch and a wonderful Happy Hour. Upcoming events include ‘Funny Money’ at the Castle Hill Players, lunch at the Royal Motor Yacht Club Newport, a race day at Wyong, ‘Music of the Night’ at Castle Hill RSL, a garden lovers tour of the Royal Botanic Gardens and a 10 day coach and rail tour of Broken Hill and surrounds.

If you are an able bodied, semi-retired or retired couple and have promised yourselves to get out, meet new people and have new experiences the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook could be for you. We meet at the Cherrybrook Community and Cultural Centre on the first Thursday of each month.

For information contact Ross on 0411 104 863. We look forward to warmly welcoming you to our Probus Club to share the good times.
