Recently members of the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook enjoyed a busy and exciting time.
In November 35 keen participants finally made a long awaited trip to the South Island of New Zealand (third time lucky!) and experienced exceptional weather, great food, fabulous scenery and activities including punting on the Avon, luge riding in Queenstown and paragliding for one adventurous soul! As always the company was great making for a fun-filled trip.
December commenced with our meeting where we welcomed Lousie Borg from the Make-A Wish Foundation to hear of their fine work. Many activity groups celebrated the festive season with gatherings and 100 plus members enjoyed a fun filled Christmas Party at the Fiddler Hotel with festive professional entertainment and enthusiastic (though not always tuneful) singing and dancing.
At our January meeting we welcomed three new members and later in the month enjoyed Barefoot Bowls followed by dinner at West Pennant Hills Sports Club.
If you are an able bodied, semi-retired or retired couple and have promised yourselves to get out, meet new people and have new experiences the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook could be for you.
Our meetings are held at the Cherrybrook Community and Cultural Centre on the first Thursday of each month. For information please contact Ross on 0411 104 863. We look forward to warmly welcoming you to our Probus Club to share the good times.
