Probus Club of Cherrybrook: A Month of Outdoor Activities

The Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook recently celebrated a vibrant month of diverse events and outdoor activities. Members enjoyed a lively outing that began with a ferry trip from Circular Quay to McMahons Point, leading to an invigorating walk through the picturesque harbourside suburbs. Participants crossed the iconic Harbour Bridge before enjoying lunch in the city.

In addition, the club experienced a memorable performance at the Premier’s Gala Concert, took a scenic drive to Patonga in perfect weather, and attended multiple theatre productions. The various sports and interest groups within the club continue to offer regular activities that promote both fitness and fun.

At the March meeting, club members elected a new committee for the upcoming year, following a thought-provoking presentation by Ron Ray that shed light on the lesser-known aspects of the explorers Bass and Flinders.

The club is soon set to express gratitude to the outgoing office bearers during a Changeover lunch, while also planning visits to notable locations such as Warragamba Dam, the Penrith Printing Museum, and a public transport Opal Day outing to Kiama. Theatre enthusiasts can look forward to upcoming shows, including ‘The Graduate’ and ‘Cluedo.’

The Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook invites active retirees and those in semi-retirement who are eager to engage with others and embrace new experiences to consider joining their community.

Our meetings are held at the Cherrybrook Community and Cultural Centre on the first Thursday of each month. For information, please contact Lynn on 0414 848 413. We look forward to warmly welcoming you to our Probus Club and sharing good times.
