Cherrybrook Probus Ponderings – A Taste Of Tranquility

Recently members of the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook enjoyed a wonderful day trip to the Nan Tien Temple, Wollongong. The day was a mix of tai chi, fascinating information, outstanding buildings and tranquil and beautifully maintained gardens.

Closer to home we experienced an excellent guided tour of Cockatoo Island, the uplifting ‘Here You Come Again’ Dolly Parton show, a social drive to the Central Coast on a picture perfect day and these are just the tip of the social iceberg!

Upcoming activities to look forward to include a tour of the Anzac Memorial, a round trip walk from Brooklyn to Kangaroo Point on the newly constructed boardwalk, theatre outings locally and in the city and a public transport ‘Opal’ outing to Newcastle and as always captivating guest speakers at our monthly meetings.

Regularly scheduled activities of craft and book clubs, games including cards, mahjong and Mexican Trains, golf, lawn bowls, ten pin bowling and Money Matters groups offer members the opportunity to be stimulated physically and creatively every week.

If you are active retirees or even semiretired and have promised yourselves to get out, meet new people and have new experiences the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook could be for you.

Our meetings are held at the Cherrybrook Community and Cultural Centre on the first Thursday of each month.
