Members of the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook concluded 2025 with a fun filled Christmas party that included dining, singing and dancing as well as President Jenni’s Naughty and Nice lists – the Naughty list bringing about much laughter.
The New Year began not quietly for more than 100 members but with a general meeting at The Dural Club where they were entertained by Guest Speaker Paul Kearney’s ‘History of Rock’n’Roll: the 1950s’.
The following week included a very picturesque drive from Vanilla Cream café in Annangrove to The Butler’s Pantry at North Richmond for a delicious lunch and of course a good chat. Another outing was to the State Theatre to enjoy The Palace of Dreams guided tour to experience behind the scenes engineering marvels, the original Wurlitzer organ, famous character lounges, award winning artworks and the world’s second largest crystal chandelier – a magical day.
In February activities of craft, book clubs, games including cards, mahjong and Mexican Trains, golf, lawn bowls, ten pin bowling, walks and evening Dining Out return.
