As a local resident, having lived in the Castle Hill Electorate for over 25 years, I am proud to represent our community in the NSW Parliament. We have so many wonderful volunteer community organisations. Thank you to all our dedicated community leaders and volunteers who work tirelessly to make events like these possible.
For example, on just one day, Sunday 19th October, I was proud to join local families and community members at some truly special events that showcase the heart of our community.
The Dural School P&C Country Fair was a wonderful celebration of local spirit. Families, students, teachers, and volunteers came together to create a vibrant and joyful day filled with activities, stalls, and entertainment. Events like this highlight the strength of our local schools, which is built on the dedication of parents, educators, and volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes. Funds raised at the fair will directly support Dural Public School, helping to enhance the learning environment for students and future generations.
Later in the day, I visited the Kenthurst RFS Get Ready Weekend at John Benyon Rotary Park. This event is an important reminder of the role our Rural Fire Service and community volunteers play in helping us prepare for bushfire season. I enjoyed meeting many of the local volunteers and lending a hand at the Rotary Club BBQ. Their commitment to protecting our community is something we can all be proud of.
To round out the weekend, I attended Jazz at the Pines at Dural—a cherished local tradition hosted by the Rotary Club of Hills-Kellyville. With music, friendship, and a warm community atmosphere, it was a perfect example of how local events bring people together. It is your efforts that strengthen the fabric of our community and make our neighbourhood such a special place to live.
