Art enthusiasts in Castle Hill have the chance to see a night-time neighbourhood come to life on canvas at a special demonstration hosted by the Castle Hill Art Society. On Tuesday, 1 October at 7.00 pm, artist Chris Vidal will guide attendees through the process of painting a simple night scene of the local area.
During the session, Vidal will explain his choice of colour palette and his unique approach to painting, offering insight into his technique using the indirect method. Attendees will witness both the first and second stages of the painting process, gaining a rare behind-the-scenes look at how a contemporary realist piece is created.
Vidal, known for his work in oils and acrylics, draws inspiration from both classical painters and modern impressionists, creating landscapes and other subjects that blend tradition with a contemporary touch.
The demonstration is open to visitors and will take place at the Castle Glen Community Centre, 157 Ridgecrop Drive, Castle Hill. It promises to be an engaging evening for both budding artists and art lovers alike.
