The next meeting of the Bromeliad Society of Australia will be held at the Federation Pavilion, Castle Hill Showground, Castle Hill on Saturday, 13th July with sales to the public from 10am and the meeting commencing at 12 noon.
Our guest speaker will be Amal Eid who would describe herself as a Bromeliad hobbyest, enthusiast, collector and grower.
She has been growing bromeliads for 9 years and has collected over 50 genera, and thousands of species, hybrids and cultivars.
Amal’s presentation will focus on her recent visit to the World Bromeliad conference in West Palm Beach Florida. Including her experiences as a judge for the BSA show competition, provide a summary on the seven key note speakers, the topics covered and a photo presentation of the gardens and conference show plants.
There will be our usual ‘Show, Tell and Ask’ session where members and guests can submit plants for discussion. We also have our very popular plant raffle.
