Australia Day on the Hawkesbury returns on Sunday 26 January 2025, with a spot of cricket for the very first time!
This year will be the Ultimate Cricket Game so make sure you sign up at the council tent to be a part of a team. Competitions will run throughout the event with some cool prizes to be won. The community event runs from 5pm to 9pm at Governor Phillip Park, Windsor and is the perfect way to enjoy this special day with friends and family.
Event favourite Farmer Dave as event MC will ensure another fun and high-energy event. The thong-throwing championship is back for its third year, with junior, adult and emergency services competitions. Sign up to compete at Council’s tent on the day and stake your claim for the 2025 Golden Thong trophy.
To cap it all off will be the always popular fireworks display at 9pm. Australia Day on the Hawkesbury 2025 will also feature an outdoor stage with live entertainment, food and drink stalls plus food trucks, carnival rides, free face painting, Emergency Services Display.
There is an inclusive playspace at Governor Phillip Park. Bring picnic rugs and chairs, but please leave portable shelters at home as they can pose a blow-over risk to other visitors and will not be permitted at the event. Plenty of on-site parking is available. This is a dog-friendly event.
