Kenthurst Combined Probus Club

Kenthurst Probus met again in June, to hear an interesting and detailed talk by Graham Simms on the life of Arthur Stace, best known to Sydneysiders as the mysterious “Mr. Eternity”.

Graham told Probians and our guests of Arthur’s life of poverty, degradation and alcoholism until his conversion to Christianity and apparently compulsive activity for many years thereafter in writing his one word message in chalk or crayon on the footpaths and occasionally walls around the City and suburbs: at the same time concealing his identity.

President Rosalie Challoner was pleased to induct a new member: Barry Hutton and members heard a brief resume of recent inductee Rhonda Phillips’s personal story, from the lady herself.

Probus meets at 9.30 am on the third Monday of each month except December, at the Kenthurst Uniting Church building. Guests are always welcome
