Arcadian Quilting

May we extend our good wishes to everyone for 2023 – in ‘The Year of the Rabbit’.

May we also give a big THANK YOU to those in our Community who supported our Raffle Quilt drive before Christmas. Your contributions continue to support our Community quilts Projects. Our sincere and Happy Congratulations go to Mrs. Ann Farthing of Kellyville who was the lucky winner of our lovely quilt. (Photo right)

New projects are ‘on the drawing board’ for us this year as we start making and contributing quilts to the Assistance Dogs Programme.

Young children and teenagers can benefit from the comfort of a quilt during ‘difficult times’ as they move through their daily lives.

While a trained Assistance Dog helps the daily routine a cuddly quilt can add to the ‘rest and relax’ times on a challenging day. We are looking forward to being part of this very worthwhile programme.

We wrapped up last year with a happy Christmas lunch, held at our ‘home venue’ in Galston. Many of our members were able to meet and share the day together. The year just passed has had the usual challenges so to have a day full of smiles, a lucky door prize, (won by Berly Hore), a guessing competition and very lovely Christmas fare was the perfect way to close our busy year.

Arcadian Quilters meet on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesday of each month commencing at 9.30am.

Our venue is in the Community Health Centre, The Glade, Galston. For further information please call Carole on 9894 7749.
