Probus Ponderings

With the arrival of Spring outdoor activities have come to the fore at the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook. Tennis, bowls, golf, walks and garden visits have all featured in our calendar. Members enjoyed a wonderful visit to The Lilian Fraser Garden at Pennant Hills, a true local gem and a beautiful walk in perfect weather along the Parramatta River that brought out the inner child. The Newington Nature Reserve was most picturesque and was followed by a picnic lunch. Dining out continues to remain a firm favourite with a visit to the Boatshed at the Sydney Fish Markets and an evening at local restaurant, Oakhill Oriental for a fun night of Chinese cuisine with no washing up!

Our other interest groups continue to cater for the varied passions of members including craft, book and investment groups, cards and games, Ten Pin bowling, happy hour gatherings and theatre parties and shows most recently to Mary Poppins and Killer Queen, a Queen Tribute Show.

If you are an able bodied, semi-retired or retired couple and have promised yourselves to get out, meet new people and have new experiences our club could also be for you.

Our meetings are held at the Cherrybrook Community and Cultural Centre on the first Thursday of each month. For up to date information please contact Ross on 0411104863. We look forward to warmly welcoming you to our Probus Club to share the good times.
