Kenthurst Probus news

Kenthurst Probus Club welcomed no less than 10 guests to its monthly meeting on the 16th of September in Kenthurst Uniting Church. After a welcome morning tea (for which the Club claims to be famous), members and Guests were treated to an informative talk by Brian McLauchlan (pictured) on the topic “Cyber Security”.

In this age of technology everybody, including the younger generation but especially seniors, should be aware of the dangers of Spam, Fyshing , and other creations of misusers of the Internet. Brian gave some valuable warnings and informative tips for warding off potential problems.

After the meeting, some Club members ventured into the City for a Town Hall Concert in the afternoon. Plans for the future include a bus trip to La Perouse, walking in Scheyville National Park, excursions to Movie Sessions at Castle Hill and a Melbourne Cup lunch.

Next month’s meeting will hear an address on the topic ”Dementia Education”.

Guests are always welcome in Kenthurst Probus. Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month (except December) at 9.30 am in the Uniting Church building.

Seniors seeking more information can telephone Membership Director Burt Stuut  on 9652 1239  or 0424 247 003.
