Dural Bowling Club held their inaugural annual bowling tournament sponsored by Dural Club on Monday 29th September 2025.
The day started under overcast skies, but the cloud cover quickly went away, and the day turned into perfect condition for bowling, 24 degrees, not bad for a Spring Day.
There were 32 teams, 96 Bowlers of men, women, and mixed teams competing. The teams came from Dural, Pennant Hills, The Hills, North Epping, Castle Hill, Burwood Diggers, Pittwater, Campbelltown, Nth Sydney, Bowral, Harbord, Wisemans Park, Corrimal, Ettalong, Mosman, Toongabbie, Dundas, St Ives, Northern Suburbs Brisbane, Wentworthville and Merrylands.
The games consisted of 3 games of 10 ends of 2 bowls triples, and the games were played in a very friendly manner with lots of good banter going around. Every bowler seemed to enjoy themselves, whether it was the fact that they were playing bowls or just out in the sunshine with a lot of mates.
A great lunch was had at the Dural Club. A great thanks to the sponsors as without sponsorship carnivals wouldn’t happen and Dural Club is a great sponsor of bowls.
